The Department of Information
Systems does not run an undergraduate degree programme of its own
The department runs two
courses that undergraduate students from across the school can take as part
of their degree programmes. General course students frequently follow these
courses as part of their studies.
- IS143
Information Technology and Society
This course explores concepts
and themes relating to the role of information and communication technologies
in society. The subject matter is aimed at social scientists who wish to develop
an understanding of information and information systems resources from a social
science perspective.
- IS340
Information Systems in Business
This course deals with
management issues regarding the use of information technology in contemporary
organizations. Students are expected to have knowledge of information systems
to a level equivalent to IS143 Information Technology and Society.
