What is TC9?

The IFIP Technical Committee 9 (TC9) on the Relationship between ICT and society comprises nine working groups (WGs) and representatives of the national computer societies of IFIP.

The main work of the TC9 is conducted through its working groups, which organise conferences and events regularly. Additionally, the TC9 organizes collectively the series of conferences Human Choice and Computers (HCC). This is a well established forum for the study of ICT and Society - the first HCC conference took place in Vienna in 1974, while the last one took place in Pretoria in 2008.

Our next meeting

Our next workshop, Research Voices from Africa, will take place at Makerere University, Uganda, on 22-23 March 2010.

HCC9 - 9th IFIP Human Choice and Computers International Conference

TC9 is now organising the 9th IFIP Human Choice and Computers International Conference (HCC9), on 20-23 September 2010, in Brisbane, Australia. The deadline for submissions has been extended to 15th March 2010. See the call for papers.
