Business Computing:
the Second 50 Years
The
Guildhall conference for business leaders
Target
Audience
|
 |
- This conference
is primarily aimed at senior managers concerned with the business implications
of computing and telecommunications. Its essential agenda is how these
constantly developing tools can be applied, brought into top management
thinking, and exploited for business and social benefit. There are valuable
lessons on these questions from the experience of the last fifty years
- not least the mindset of the first pioneers - but the event's principal
focus is on the next fifty. The potential is still largely unrealised:
what needs to be done?
- The conference
will also include much food for thought both for the investor community,
and for researchers and teachers in the fields of business computing
and business history.
- Not least, it will
be a unique opportunity for those pioneers to look both back at achievements
and forward to new possibilities.
