Chandra S. Amaravadi

Chandra S. Amaravadi is an Associate Professor and State Farm Professor of MIS at Western Illinois University. He received a PhD in Business Administration with concentration in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona and an MBA in MIS from the University of Minnesota.

Dr Amaravadi holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Andhra University, Waltair, India. His research interests are in Office Information Systems, Workflow Models, Intelligent Systems, Information Retrieval, and Knowledge Management. He is the co-author of a monograph on Office Models in Advances in Computers and has additionally published several papers in various journals and conferences.

Prior to joining the University of Arizona, Dr Amaravadi briefly served as a consultant with Wellspring Computer Services and more recently, he has served as a consultant with Dun & Bradstreet Sathyam Software (Madras, India). He has been with Western Illinois University since 1989.
