Apart from his academic conference
presentations too numerous to mention, Professor Angell has delivered talks to
many well-known international companies and national organizations
list).
He has had
the honour of stepping in at short notice to cover for the absences of both
President Gorbachev (for Stern Stewart in Chartes) and Senator Edward Kennedy
(for Zefer at Harvard), and has made seven separate private presentations to sons of the
Crown Prince of Dubai.
On
Tuesday 7 March, 2006. Professor
Angell shared the stage at the London Stock Exchange with
Sir
Nicholas Montagu, former Chairman of The Inland Revenue. No prizes
for guessing who was proposing the motion: "All Taxation is Theft".
In January
2008 he spoke against the motion "Short-termism
is bad for business" at the FOA City Debate hosted by the Lord Mayor
of London at the Mansion House.
With a new
book out in July, another pencilled in for completion by Christmas 2010,
and with him taking a sabbatical year starting October 2010, he expects
to be giving many talks during the 2010/2011 academic year.
