This is my co-author and good
friend Dionysios Demetis. Dionysios came to the LSE to study on the
ADMIS Masters programme, during which time I managed to convince him of the
folly of Physics - his first academic love. Although he still solves
differential equations just for fun!
He subsequently studied for
a PhD in Anti-Money Laundering under my supervision, and very soon left
my limited expertise in this topic far behind, so that now he is a
renowned international expert and consultant on the topic.
While he was writing
Science's First Mistake with me, he was also completing another book
for Edward Elgar under the title: Anti-Money
Laundering: A systems-theory and risk-based approach. This
book too will
appear this summer. Dionysios is a workaholic!
Dionysios is also a very accomplished pianist and composer. For some
reason when performing he spells his name
Dionisis!

title to see a sample video of him playing his composition
Moonlight.
