Nintendo's GameBoy Color was highly
successful. The model shown sold for $69 and the individual game cartridges sold for about
$29 each. Sale of used game cartridges also became popular, since used games could be acquired for considerably less than the brand new ones. The Game Boy uses a highly reflective Thin-Film Transistor (TFT) color liquid crystal display, and can display up to 56 colors. It also included an infrared communications device at the top left of the unit. |
